About me and my work

My pieces are designed to bring colour and fun to interiors and gardens. Resembling three dimensional line drawings, they are created from wire and beads using a variety of hand tools.

Some of the beads that I use are not brand new. I like to recycle and create something new from something old and unwanted. Each piece is modelled individually without using a template or mould, so is therefore unique.

My main inspiration is nature, where the bright colours I love are abundant and the linear structure of many plants and animals are ideal for portrayal in wire. Other inspirations include fairy tales and mythologies.

I grew up in the Shropshire countryside, where I still enjoy living.  As a child I was always making things and always wanted a career in art. I did a BA Hons degree in Design Crafts at Hereford College of art and design, which I completed in 1999. It was on this course that I first became interested is using wire and beads as a medium. I started my business in it's current form in November 2005

  PRODUCT INFORMATION

All pieces are made by my self and by hand. I bend the wire into shape with the help of pliers joining pieces together by twisting them together.

All pieces are designed to be used purely for decoration and are not at all suitable as toys for children.

All pieces are constructed using galvanised wire which won’t rust and can therefore be put outside. If you are after a piece to go in your garden, if you so wished, any of the designs can be made out of thicker wire to make them stronger, please specify when ordering.

I am happy to receive commissions. Please email or phone me your enquiries and I will get back to you with a design and quote for you to approve. I can do larger scale pieces.
I can take payment for commissions via credit and debit cards, for more information click here.
